The Electrostatic Gas Cleaner is a particulate collection device that removes super fine particles from a flowing gas using the force of an induced electrostatic charge. It is highly efficient filtration device that minimally impede the flow of gases through the device, and easily remove fine particulate matter such as dust and smoke from the gas stream. During operation, the gas passes through a chamber containing a central high-voltage negative electrode. A corona discharge forms around the central electrode, which imparts a negatively charge to all particles and droplets. The negatively charged particles then migrate to the positive electrode. It is parallel plate weighted wire design which evolved as more efficient and robust. Transformer-rectifier systems apply voltages at relatively high current densities. Modern controls minimize sparking and prevent arcing, avoiding damage to the components. Automatic rapping systems and hopper evacuation systems remove the collected particulate matter while on line, theoretically allowing JYOTI GREEN ENERGY TRANSMISSION to stay in operation for years at a time.
